Sasa School
“Education for Self-Reliance.”
Sasa School started in 2015 and it was a registered in 2017 with EM. 17416. We offer inclusive education to both boys and girls, receiving children from any tribe and as a low-cost private school, we give priority to those coming from poor families of peasants and pastoralists. The school aims to provide a stimulating learning environment in which children can develop skills and attitudes that will prepare them to cope with modern life. Hence the name of the school is derived from the Swahili word, Sasa, meaning; now, this time. Sasa School is simply a school for our time.
Sasa School offers free scholarship to two disabled children every year and we work with various organizations, individuals and charity groups dealing with children from disadvantaged families in the surrounding districts. At the moment the school has 70 children sponsored by charity organisations and benefactors.
Sasa School performs very well in Grade 7 National Examination, enabling all students finishing primary education to secure places in secondary schools. In the recent Grade 4 SFNA, Sasa was ranked Number One out of 542 schools in Arusha Region. We currently has 650 students and 55 staff members.
